DS1200 as alarm clock when iPad not docked

Hi,
Can I use the DS1200 as a normal alarm clock for times when the dock is not used, ie I go away on business and the iPad goes with me, but I want the DS1200 to continue to be used as an alarm.

it cannot do so i m afraid....
no built in alarm function unless with the iOS device

Thanks for responding, it is a nice product just needs to do a wee bit more, lovely night light
