Hello there,

Because of my DS8800W/10 is interupting the playing of music constantly over Airplay, i try to upgrade the firmware. I found that the firmware is from 2011-06-10. After that i try to find the firmware but it is nowhere to be found. I the instruction video by Philips they say to get the ZIP-file from the right corner of the product screen, but there is no zip file. If you go to support/ firmware on the philips page and you type DS8800W/10 you find no results.
Please help on where to get the firmware and how to update the speaker. I'm almost throwing it out of the window.....

I've read somewhere that this may help - connect your device to your pc and enter, once done you should get inside the device and upgrade it from there

Can anyone please advise where I can download the firmware from. I am in the UK and when I go to the support page I get everything BUT the option to download the firmware. It is simply not there on the support page for the product.

Is anyone able to send me the direct link please?

hi g4dg3t, if you are after the software update for DS9800W/10 as mentioned in buurman199's post (two posts above yours) then it can be found here in the section Software and Drivers, link to ds9800w_10_fus_eng.zip - http://www.p4c.philips.com/cgi-bin/cpindex.pl?ctn=DS9800W/10&hlt=Link_Software&mid=Link_Software&scy=GB&slg=ENG .

hope it helps :)

completely my bad!

I didn't read the post properly.

If I had, I would have seen that there is no official update for this one, instead you have to use the firmware for a different model!

Sorry. thanks for your help! :)

Dear Users,

It is not recommended to use DS9800W/10 for DS8800W/10 as UI will not work (e.g. DS9800W has no on-board volume keys).

Kind regards,
Philips Moderation Team

Can you provide the link with the proper firmware update for this product please?
because my speaker have the same problem,
"interrupting the playing of music constantly over Airplay"
This shouldn't be an issue for the main feature of the speaker.

Hi fernando468,

Welcome to the Philips Support Forum, we are glad that you have joined us here. There is no firmware update available for the DS8800W, and we do not recommend you to use the update file for the DS9800W. Let’s have a look at the issue, does the same thing happen when you use the AUX port to play music?
Have a nice day.

Kind regards,
