Hello,

How can I connect a normal (old, not 'Smart' in any way, not digital and not optical) audio amplifier with two speakers, to the TV audio output. The amplifier has two RCA female input connectors (Red/White for R/L). I want it to work irrespective of the TV input source selection.

My only idea was to use the SCART connector (which, as far as I know, has both in and out connections), but unfortunately, it doesn't work.

So what are my options?

Thanks,
Moshe

P.S. Just saw bta's reply to PeterK, to use the headphones jack. I'm going to try it. It will probably disconnect the internal speakers.

Hi mronen,

have a look at this post (http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php?10685-32pfl7606H-12-analog-audio-connection&p=51568&viewfull=1#post51568) or more detailed here (http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php?9954-Connecting-a-speaker-to-tv-no-ouput-unless-I-go-through-satellite-box&p=48989&viewfull=1#post48989).

Thanks bta, it works fine!

It's more like a 'Line' output - doesn't disconnect the internal speakers, and the level is fixed. This is fine for me, I like it this way.
