Hi,
i've buyed the product in.sight M100D.
The monitors correctly works only for 5-6 days, then i don't receive the alerts notification on my apple devices with I.OS 6.1.2 (IPHONE 4S AND IPAD 4th generation)
The monitors are in two differents places (my home and my office).
I have resetted and reinstalled the monitors; i have restored my devices; i have also changed my in.sight accounts, but the problem remains.
I've installed the app in.sight 2.2.1 from the apple store!
I've reinstalled the old version, but the alerts don't arrived to my iphone/ipad.

The apple's devices configurations is correct: i've followed your instructions.

Please help me.
Best regards.

Same problem here with iPhone 5 and iPad: No alerts. The camera records to the drobox, but it does not send alerts to my mobile devices - which is, in fact, the most important function for me. When will there be an update that fixes this issue?

Hi,

Exactly same for me... I acquired the duo pack M100D and my dad the baby version, both worked for a week... and now, it records to dropbox, sometimes alarms cannot be stopped (only seen when in.sight is open, but for sure, alarms never come to iphone, iPad, Nexus7 or any other device anymore...

No idea what's going on... maybe Philips servers' issue?

Thx, but the button "iOS Notification" in step 2d just does not exist (anymore?)...

I hope this issue will be fixed, as the alerts were the main reason for me to buy this stuff.

Same here: Tried everything, have all the updates, but suddenly no more alerts. I will return the cams to the store if this is not fixed, because without notifications, they are basically useless to me.

Hello,

anybody at home? When will you guys from Philips be so kind to answer our question? The problem is mentioned several times here and in the iTunes AppStore.

Dear Sergio Molino,

May I know if the alerts of iPad works or not now? If not, I may have to follow up with the development team.

Thanks & regards,

I haven't been able to get alerts to work reliably either. After a few days of not getting them I restarted the camera to relocate it (audio/video was working fine, but I hadn't gotten a single alert). After the monitor restarted I got like 10 alerts immediately. This is clear a camera/server problem.

Are alerts working reliably for anyone?

hi Byron,
the alert issue should be fixed at the back end. you still having the issue?

Byron

i get the alerts from time to time but they're certainly not reliable. there also doesn't seem to be any pattern to why and when they show up in the alerts tab in the In.Sight app. I've gotten 4-5 alerts in a short period only to launch the app and have nothing in the alerts section and no activity.

Dear Byron,

We have noted your issue here and are now investigating it.
Since this can be due to a backend change in server side, this may not be resolved as soon.

Thanks for your patience in advance whilst we are looking into this for you.

Kind regards,

Ok, but can you please post an update in this thread when it has been resolved so I know when to re-test.

Hi,

I got the Duo Pack Cameras. Both Cameras firmware have been updated to 6.5. My InSight IOS app version is 2.2.1, and my IOS version is 6.1.3

Since these firmware and app updates, the cameras themselves are working but both Audio and Video Alerts, Dropbox recording, and Push Notifications are not working at all.

I have tried reverting everything to what they were originally but that has had no effect.

I have been checking the forums etc for anything that might help but cannot find anything regarding a fix except a post from Philips to say its a backend problem and should be sorted by now.

However, this is not sorted as I have not being getting alerts for some time now.

Is there any indication anywhere of what the problem actually is and subsequently what the fix is?

The cameras are pretty useless without any of this functionality.

Dear evan.spier,

Have you tried off your alert from your phone and then switch it on again?
Does this help?

Yes I have tried turning alerts on and off from both my iphone and ipad. No change to the problem.

Dear Evan Spier,

1) In the Dropbox, do you see the recording? If that is so, we suspect it can be due to the naming of your monitor. May I know how you set the name of the monitor?
2) If there is recording in the Dropbox, do you mean you just cannot receive the push message?

Kind regards,

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. No unfortunately there are no dropbox recordings happening at the moment either. A while ago though I did notice I wasn't getting alerts, but there were recordings being saved to dropbox. That subsequently seemed to fix itself. Now though there are no recordings or push notifications happening.

My two cameras are named "Hall" and "Landing". I named the cameras during the initial set up phase when installing them.

I have just setup a single M100 and all working fine except for the motion detection & push notifications. I have checked the iPhone notification settings and all OK. I can manually activate record and the video appears in Dropbox but no notification ! I have set up and rechecked all the settings for Motion & Audio detection but nothing seems to happen ! I have read through all the earlier suggestions and rechecked the settings & I have the latest S/W version 6.5. Has anyone solved this problem ? Regards Alan

Has there being any further updates or fixes that we can try?

I have installed the latest application software version over the weekend. Restarted both my cameras but the problem is still the same. No Alert notifications, no dropbox recording.

Regards,
Evan

Hi

I have had my M100 set up almost a week now. I have it set up to monitor the front door of our house, in that time I have had two alerts ( 30 sec videos deposited in my Dropbox and two push alerts to my IPhone 4 & the number 2 against the Alert symbol in the monitor screen and the details of the Alerts listed. However, both of these videos captured stationary scenes ! This has been a constant set up, the postman delivers post every day and no sign of an alert in bright sunny daylight. While in the Live monitoring mode I can activate the record button and a 30 sec video is deposited in my Dropbox folder, so the comms to the Dropbox works. So either the motion detection algorithm is at fault or the processing of the Alert in the App fails to handle the motion detection information correctly. Software up grade required soonest please Philips.

Good day, I wish I was aware of the alert problems before I bought it today. Now I am faced with returning it after wasting my time of setting up the device.

Hi,

It has been nearly 2 weeks since the last update from Philips stating that Philips Dev Team are looking at the issue.

Surely there must have being some progress on the issue made at this stage?

Thanks for the Update Tereza

Dear Users,

Thank you for your patience. The alert issue has just been resolved!

You can verify using below steps:

1. ADD your InSight Monitor with the latest InSight Application
2. Remain at the same WIFI network, upgrade to latest Monitor firmware if it is prompted
3. Enable the Alert, configure the Dropbox account, and enable your desired Alert source
4. Remain inside the InSight Application, trigger the alert, like Motion and Audio;
5. For iOS, you should able to get Prompt in a second, to tell motion/audio is detected
6. If you do not see the prompt message, you may need to adjust your threshold or your action in order to see the Prompt message show up
7. Once you receive the prompt message, you can exit the App via HOME key
8. Wait for a while, normally take a minute from when you trigger the event, to see a Push message, again please make sure you have enabled the Alert in Notification Center

Please let us know if the issue still persists.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Joanna

Adding my experience as a data point to this thread. I have the latest firmware and iPhone software; the camera is connected to the network and the live stream displays properly, but alerts don't work at all. No email notification, Dropbox recording, or even in-app alerts.

I've provided my user name to the Administrators by PM.

Sure hope this gets resolved soon; luckily I'm still within the return window!

Thank you very much. I followed the steps, basically removed my cameras from my account, and set them back up again, Notifications and Alerts are working on both cameras.

IOS badge app icon notifications aren't appearing. Comestic issue as Alerts are working.

Thank you Joanna
