Hi,I've set up connection between iPhone, E587 Huawei (wifi network & 3g cell connection hotspot) and B120.from reading the user manual and product info it infers high speed wifi connection is only needed between b120, wifi hotspot router and iPhone when viewing monitor. My Internet connection to wifi hotspot is from a weak signal 3g(50-100kbps) and it seems the intermittent monitor connection is caused by the Internet connection back to Philips account site. Is this the true cause? As the local wifi from E587 is greater than the 2mbps requirement.

Hello Wazzie, to be honest, I am bit confused what is the problem you have to deal with now. If it's still the same issue as you explained on here http://www.supportforum.philips.com/en/showthread.php?13423-Replacing-wifi-router-configured-to-B120&p=61653#post61653 , I would recommend you to follow the given instructions.
Let us know if it helps.

Hi Vaga, Sorry about the confusion this was a separate question and B120 symptom to the WiFi router replacement.Unfortunately I'm still having intermittent connection failure between iPhone and B120 and after investigating further I found repositioning the WiFi router to give 3 green signal bars instead of 2 on the in.sight app gives more reliable connection. I still have delayed video & audio of around 8sec but now believe it's due to my slow Internet connection speed, when monitoring the internet connection it shows download bursts of around 14kb/s every 20sec and uploads of 60b/sec every 2 sec.
It appears the video & audio content is sent back to the in.sight web server and retrieved causing my delays due to Internet connection speed. If this is true it would be helpfully to advise it requires this and the minimum Internet connection requirements on the product literature. I only purchased it for use at home on a local WiFi network why does it require connection to the Internet during monitoring if I'm not using the record or 3G remote connect features?

Hello Wazzie, yep, the speed of login and getting the video feed from the monitor depends very much on the speed of the internet connection you are using. For the optimal streaming speed and minimized delay, high-speed Internet connection of 800kbps or above is recommended.
And basically you need the internet for sharing the information between your in.sight app and the monitor.

Thanks Vaga, much appreciated reply. The product hardware and software in my opinion is very good value for it's price, although it would've been nice to include a pivoting ball base and an optical zoom to allow greater positioning flexibility in the baby's room, I found it really needed to be mounted on the ceiling above the baby's cot.
