Using the TV as PC monitor - sound problem (42pfl3512D12 model)

Hello.

I have a 42pfl3512D12 LCD TV, and i want to use the TV as a PC monitor.
I plugged the pc to HDMI1 using a DVI to HDMI cable and also plugged a cable from the PC audio jack to the L+R in EXT3.
I did it exactly as described in the user manual but it didnt work.
I get a picture in HDMI1 channel but the sound is on EXT3 channel.

My PC video card is Zotac GTX260 with the latest drivers.
I also cant find software update to my tv model.

Does anyone have a solution and know how can i get picture and sound at the same channel?

You are not the only one to have this kind of problem with Philips TVs.

For now I'm using external PC speakers.
I wish Philips would take this seriously snd try to fix the problem.

Upgrading your vga card with one that has an HDMI, would be a better option in my opinion.
Analog connections are dying (if not already dead).

My notebook do not have an HDMI connection, but it has a DVI digital connection. Here we are not speaking about analog copnnections...

Well, I have to acknowledge that this time it was not a Philips fault, but a NVIDIA driver bug. See this post and following ones:
