Here is a website with un-official Philips TV software's. Handy when you want to downgrade the software version in your TV.

You can select the model year by going to this link:

Only series 9, though...

@JohnnyQ,

think a little about your post subject ! you found a website for previous versions only. Sadly.

An unofficial software would be a very very very very good news : it means somebody else than Philips can build a complete firmware.
-no more stupid limitations implemented
-immediate bug fix in all countries because of developpers spread
-the best seller product because of the buzz around it (it does what YOU want it to do)
-such a commercial success than other manufacturer will go immediatly opensource also
-all the distribution/commercials ad/secret arrangment drived by users not by three or for people.
-ok I stop it, this will be reality in 50 years ;-) Until then, you play with what Philips gives you !

I don't think unofficial software is programed by 3rd parti or open source programer. They just present share old FW.. That is all.

To all users,

We as Philips do not support any downgrade of our TV-sets. In some cases a downgrade can have negative effects and will influence the way your TV set will work.

Reason for this is that the main software has to be in line with the standby software that is programmed in your set. This can only be done by a workshop.

If the downgrade main software and the standby software are not in line, it can happen that your TV will not start up any longer!

ReDo

Hi,

If the software were correct, customers would not need to make downgrade.
