View Full Version : Philips DS9010/10 issues

Hi - can someone help me? I bought a Philips Dock DS 9010 in August 2013. It was working fine until today - no sound at all. My iphone and ipad are connecting but there is no sound from the dock. Why is this and how can I fix it?

I tried but failed to understand how to post on this forum and so sent an email to Admin. However, I have now found out how to post and have raised my query about my failed Phiilips Doc DS9010 on this forum. Apologies if you read it twice. However, I would welcome some help to solve the problem of no sound.

Hello

May I please ask for the following information so that we can look into this further:

• What iPhone/ iPod/ iPad model are you using? (eg: iPhone 5)
• What version of iOS do you have on your Apple device?
• The app software version

Hi Pavel - it's my iphone 4 and ipad 3. both have the latest iOS versions for those models.

Hi Pavel - it's my iphone 4 and ipad 3. both have the latest iOS versions for those models. The iphone is iOS 7.1.2 and the ipad is iOS 8.1.2

I think we're going round in circles with this, Pavel. I have done all that you have suggested and still no luck.

Are you getting any errors from App?.
Please send me name and version of the App.
Device does not support iPad but should work perfectly with iPhone 4.
I will send your case to our technical team and get back to you as soon as possible.

I have arranged with Philips to return the dock for a warranty repair so need to get back to your technical team. It's ridiculous to say the device doesn't support my ipad 3. It had for almost a year now!! it's a problem with the device and not the App. FYI, the app is the Philips Dock app via itunes. Anyway, i'm now sorting out this issue with Philips. Thank for your input.

according to technical specification there is no support for iPad : http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/d/ds9010_10/ds9010_10_pss_.pdf

That's very interesting, Pavel. When I bought the DS9010, it was specifically for the ipad and this is how it was advertised then: Design fit for iPod/iPhone/iPad. So I don't know when it stopped ipad use! The instructions I received from Amazon (where I bought this brand new) did not specify it couldn't be used for ipads. So something has changed that I don't know anything about. However, in my case, the dock is working with my iphone 4 either. as you say, hopefully, Philips will sort the problem.
