Hello,

I have a Philips Tv (40PFL5605M/08), and I want to buy a Philips soundbar: HTS5120/12.

I want to use a HDMI connector, with easylink (HDMI-CEC).

I want to use the audio output from the soundbar in this cases:

Watch Television
Watch DVD
Watch movies and play mp3 from a Pc (connected to Tv by HDMI: audio & video on single cable)

I read that the first and second option work without problems. Anyone have tried my 3rd options?

My PC don't have a optical audio out, except the HDMI.
On the PC I have the software XBMC and I whatch movies with audio in AC3 and mp3.

Thanks.

not quite sure if i understand you correctly...
do you want to know if you can connect the pc to the TV via HDMI?
if so then the answer would be yes.

You can connect the HTS via RCA to the PC and switch the Audio Output on the PC from HDMI to normal Speakers out.
if you got a TV and HTS which are both capable of HDMI ARC, you can leave the oudio out to the HDMI on the PC and the sound goes from PC via HDMI to TV and from there on via HDMIARC to the Sound SYstem
