Hello

I have tried numerous times now to update the software on the 32PFL5405H/05 I own but the update always fails.
I've downloaded the zip file from the phillips page, placed it correctly to the usb, but nothing is happening with it apart from viewing the loading - validating bars, it always stops before the validating bar is finished.

Please help the constant sound drops are very annoying :)

Hi,

so the update starts but it breaks at around (maybe 80%)?

Try the following:

1. Activate CSM menu (Customer Service Menu) by pressing "123654" on the remote control.
2. Press following sequence with the remote control:
- 1 x the "red" button.
- followed by "25327" (= CLEAR).
3. Restart your TV (standby, hard off, hard on) and start the software upgrade again.

Tried that, get the menu up but the pressing red button ( which I assume is the red button next to green? ) and then pressing 25327 seems to do nothing.

Hi,

yes - there is no feedback after this procedure... did you shut down the TV and unplug the power after that?

Yes, nothing happens. Still get to 80% or so on validating and it fails :(

Hi,

I suggest that you call the local Philips support and tell them that the update procedure is stuck at 80 %...

stopping at 80% can tell that your tcon is defective.
