No picture

Hi everyone. I have some trouble with my 42PFL5522D/12, HJ5A0747531512, 2008-02. Sometime during startup there is no picture but the sound is OK, I have to turn it off and start up again, and I have a perfect picture and sound. This happens 2-3 times per week. The TV is out off any guarantee. The Philips support advice me to bring it to service, because that kind off problem could just step up. But the cost off the service would be about €400... Does anyone else had this kind off problems, and how did you solve it?? Perhaps it's cheaper to buy a new one... :confused:

I think that the best strategy is to keep it as long as it lasts, and then buy a new TV. The TV is quite old, and it does not worth 400 euros.

Service outside warranty is very expensive.
