I have added subtitles in an avi file using freeware tools such as aviaddsubs.
Using my dvd philips player I watch the subtitles using only the avi file
without the txt or srt
On the other hand using usb of my tv subtiles are missing :(
Any ideas?

Hello,
I don't use filename.avi with filename.srt
Subtitles have stored as bitmaps and have added in avi file.

Hi,
it sounds that these bitmaps are also some kind of external subtitles but in the AVI container. If that is the case, it also does not work.

Indeed and I really don't understand why not, it's a shame :(
However My Philips BDP 7500s2 does support the subtitles format so I use that as a workaround :)
