BDP5000 regularly freezing

My BDP5000/12, connected with EasyInk to am42FL9664h, is freezing at the point of time where either I load a new BD disk or try to turn off the reading of a BD. The only way is then to remove the 220v plug and restart from the menu of the BD reader.

I suspect something related to easy link, but some attempt to disable it were not satisfactory neither and I liked the easy link convenience!


I have the last firmware (now dated from more than a year, which let me believe that Philips has decided to stop supporting the device at least in evolutive maintenance way).

So freezing here you mean the it's hanged up in a particular scene or you mean the remote control stop working?

if you mean the former one, does it happen randomly on any disc of yours or does it happen to just one or 2 disc? playing DVD is fine?

it means the device is still "on", according to the led panel, but that there is no hdmi output anymore nor the possibility to do anything either with the remote or with the front panels buttons.
