On this English forum you can discuss your Philips products (depending on the given choices). Focus is on user-to-user interaction. You can simply start viewing messages by selecting the forum you want to visit from the selection below. Note that product support information like user manuals, FAQs, software downloads or contact details can be found via our Support section.

The Forum is operated globally, information on the Forum is not specifically selected per country, due to which the information might not be accurate in your country of residence.

Please note that the Forum is public and can be accessed by anybody who signs up. Philips does not guarantee full monitoring of the information and material posted and published on the Forum by its users.

You agree that by accessing the Forum, you are bound to these Terms of Use. It is important that you take the time to read the Terms of Use carefully, before you use the Forum. A. GENERAL TERMS

1. Your relationship with Philips

1.1 By registering yourself for the Forum you are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Use. This shall mean that you acknowledge that you have read, understand and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and that you shall comply with them.

1.2 The Terms of Use comprise of the following sections:

1.3 - You may not use the Forum if (a) you are not of legal age to form a binding contract with Philips, or (b) you are a person who is either barred or otherwise legally prohibited from receiving or using the Forum under the laws of the country in which you are resident or from which you access or use the Forum.

1.4 - You acknowledge and agree that Philips may change the Terms of Use from time to time without prior notice to you. When such changes are made, Philips will make the updated version of the Terms of Use available on the Website. Philips will treat your use of the Website and the Forum as acceptance of the updated version of the Terms of Use. It is your responsibility to check the Terms of Use regularly for changes.

1.5 - As part of this continuing innovation, you acknowledge and agree that Philips may take the Website down (permanently or temporarily) its sole discretion, without prior notice to you.

2. Your use of the Forum

2.1 - The Forum contains communication facilities designed to enable you to communicate about the resolution of issues regarding Philips products and services You agree to use the Forum only to post, send and receive messages and material that are appropriate and related to the purpose of the Forum. You agree that when using the Forum, you will not use or attempt to use the Forum for any fraudulent, unlawful, harassing or abusive purpose, or so as to damage or cause risk to our business, reputation, employees, subscribers, facilities, or to any person.

2.2 - Improper uses include, but are not limited to:
(a) Violating any applicable law or regulation
(b) Posting or transmitting content you do not have the right to post or transmit
(c) Posting or transmitting content that infringes a third party's trademark, patent, trade secret, copyright, publicity, privacy, or other right
(d) Posting or transmitting content that is unlawful, untrue, stalking, harassing, libellous, defamatory, abusive, tortuous, threatening, obscene, hateful, harmful or otherwise objectionable as determined in our sole discretion
(e) Attempting to intercept, collect or store data about third parties without their knowledge or consent
(f) Deleting, tampering with or revising any material posted by any other person or entity
(g) Accessing, tampering with or using non-public areas of the Forum, Philips's computer systems and network or any Philips website
(h) Attempting to probe, scan or test the vulnerability of a system or Website or to breach security or authentication measures
(i) Attempting to access or search the Forum, the Website or any Philips website with any engine, software, tool, agent, device or mechanism other than the software and/or search agents provided by us or other generally available third party web browser
(j) Sending or attempting to send unsolicited messages, including without limitation, promotions or advertisements for products or services, 'spam', 'chain mail' or 'junk mail'
(k) Using or attempting to use the Forum, the Website or any Philips website to send altered, deceptive or false source-identifying information
(l) Attempting to decipher, decompile, disassemble or reverse engineer any of the software comprising or in any way making up a part of the Forum, the Website or any Philips website
(m) Interfering or attempting to interfere with the access of any user, host or network, including without limitation, sending a 'virus' to the Forum, the Website or any Philips website, overloading, 'flooding,' 'spamming,' 'crashing,' or 'mailbombing' the Forum, Website or any Philips website
(n) Impersonating or misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity
(o) Using the Forum to make fraudulent offers to sell or buy products, items, or services or to advance any type of financial scam such as 'pyramid schemes', 'Ponzi schemes', unregistered sales of securities, and securities fraud or
(p) Excessively high volume data transfers or bandwidth consumption, hosting of a web server, internet relay chat server or any other server, and non-traditional end user activities.

2.3 - If we suspect violations of any of the above, we may discontinue your access to the Forum, the Website or any Philips website, institute legal action and/or cooperate with law enforcement authorities in bringing legal proceedings against violators. You agree to reasonably cooperate with us in investigating suspected violations.

2.4 - Philips reserves the right to install, implement, manage and/or operate one or more software, monitor or other solutions designed to assist us in identifying and/or tracking activities that we consider to be illegal or violations of this Agreement, including but not limited to any of the activities described in this Section 2. We may, but are not obligated to, in our sole discretion, and without notice, remove, block, filter or restrict by any means any materials or information (including but not limited to emails) that we consider to be actual or potential violations of the restrictions set forth in this Agreement, including but not limited to those activities described in this Section 1 and any other activities that may subject Philips or its customers to harm or liability. Philips disclaims any and all liability for any failure on its part to prevent such materials or information from being transmitted through the Forum

3. Content on the Forum

3.1 - Philips does not claim ownership of the materials you provide to Philips (including feedback and suggestions) or post, upload, input or submit to the Forum ( collectively 'Submissions' ). However, by posting, uploading, inputting, providing or submitting your Submission you are granting Philips, its affiliated companies, and necessary sub-licensees, permission to use your Submission in connection with the operation of the Forum and their businesses including, without limitation, the rights to: copy, distribute, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, reproduce, edit, translate and reformat your Submission and to publish your name in connection with your Submission. No compensation will be paid with respect to the use of your Submission, as provided herein. Philips is under no obligation to post or use any Submission you may provide and may remove any Submission at any time in Philips's sole discretion.

3.2 - By posting, uploading, inputting, providing or submitting your Submission you warrant and represent that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your Submission as described in this Section 2 including, without limitation, all the rights necessary for you to provide, post, upload, input or submit the Submissions. You further agree that Submissions shall not be considered confidential.

3.3 - Philips does not control, nor are we responsible or liable for, data, content, information services, or products (including software) that you access, download, or receive via the Forum. We may, but do not have to, block Submissions or other information, transmissions or access to certain information, services, products or domains to protect us, our network, the public or our users. Philips reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, in Philips's sole discretion.

3.4 - Philips does not control or endorse the content, messages or information found in any Submissions and, therefore, Philips specifically disclaims any liability with regard to the Submissions and any actions resulting from your participation in the Forum. Managers and hosts are not authorised Philips spokespersons, and their views do not necessarily reflect those of Philips. We are not a publisher of third party content accessed through the Forum and are not responsible for the content, accuracy, timeliness or delivery of any Submissions, opinions, advice, statements, messages, services, graphics, data or any other information provided to or by third parties as accessible through the Forum.

4. Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Venue

These Terms of Use are governed by, construed and enforced in accordance with the laws of The Netherlands, as they are applied to agreements entered into and to be performed by the court in Amsterdam. Any action you, any third party, or Philips may bring to enforce these Terms of Use in connection with any matters related to the Forum will be brought only for the court of Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and you expressly consent to the jurisdiction and venue of such courts.

5. Miscellaneous terms

5.1 - The Terms of Use constitute the whole legal agreement between you and Philips and govern your use of the Website and the Forum.

5.2 - You agree that Philips may provide you with notices, including those regarding to Forum, changes to the Terms of Use, or any other notices, by email, regular mail, or otherwise.

5.3 - You agree that if Philips does not exercise or enforce any legal right or remedy which is contained in the Terms of Use (or which Philips has the benefit of under any applicable law), this will not be taken to be a formal waiver of Philips's rights and that those rights or remedies will still be available to Philips.

5.4 - If any court of law, having the jurisdiction to decide on this matter, rules that any provision of these Terms of Use is invalid, then that provision will be removed from the Terms of Use without affecting the rest of the Terms of Use. The remaining provisions of the Terms of Use will continue to be valid and enforceable.


B. USAGE GUIDELINES

Philips provides the Forum as a service to its users and customers, to help them exchange ideas, tips and to help each other. The Forum is here for the enjoyment of all Philips customers. Like any community, the Forum is most valuable when everyone obeys certain basic guidelines and rules for online behaviour. These guidelines and rules are presented here so that you know what is expected from you and what you can expect from other participants when using the forums.

Philips reserves the right in its sole discretion, to:


Edit and/or remove any post containing or linking to material in violation of the Terms of Use.
Terminate the membership of any user who violates the Terms of Use.
If you have any doubts about whether your post or link may violate these guidelines, please ask a Philips Administrator (nettv.forum@philips.com) before posting.


How to get help

Questions, comments, or help requests regarding a Philips product or service should be posted to the corresponding board.
If you are unsure about a specific Forum feature or function, check the Forum Help board (http://www.supportforum.philips.com/faq.php).
Questions or concerns regarding actions taken by Philips MUST be directed to a Moderator, or Administrator via Private Message (PM) or e-mail (nettv.forum@philips.com)ONLY. Comments or discussions appearing on public boards will be removed.
Philips members are identified by a Philips logo.

Keep it relevant

For everyone's benefit please stay on topic. The Forum is specifically provided to allow users and customers of Philips to help each other in using products and services from Philips. Please refrain from discussing personal matters, abusing any company or product, or, in general, from posting in a manner unrelated to the resolution of issues regarding Philips products and services.

Keep it courteous

Everyone wants to have a positive experience while on the Forums - please make sure that you are not detracting from any other user's experience. In particular, please refrain from posting anything unlawful, libellous, defamatory, obscene, profane, pornographic, indecent, lewd, harassing, threatening, harmful, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, abusive, inflammatory or otherwise objectionable or injurious to third parties.

Your opinions are always welcome, but personal attacks and harassment ( 'flaming' ) in either the Forums or through Private Messaging (PM) are not acceptable.

Keep it clear

Please communicate clearly so everyone may understand. Avoid using slang, 'net speak' or any other wording which might be difficult for all users to understand. We are a diverse community and seek to provide a comfortable environment where you can get help from other users like yourself. This can only happen if we can understand each other.

Keep it spam-free

This community is provided as a service to Philips users and customers and is not intended for the promotion of third party services, products, websites, or organisations. Posting content that would constitute advertising, junk mail, spam, chain letters, or any other form of unauthorised solicitation will not be tolerated.

Be careful

You should not post personal information on these Forums including your name and address, age, phone number, or Social Security Number. Moderators, Administrators, or Philips Employees will not ask you for this information in the Forums. Furthermore, if any user asks you for personal information, such as an account number, address, password or credit card number, do not provide it. If you are asked for this information, please notify a Moderator or Administrator immediately.

Most people are happy to help out on these Forums, but remember that their advice is theirs only and that you are responsible for deciding whether or not to follow it. If the advice given by a user sounds wrong to you, do not try it.

Community Moderators

From time-to-time Philips may designate certain members as a Community Moderator, or other valued member of the Forum community. This designation does not create an employee or agency relationship between Philips and this member, nor does it make this member a company spokesperson. Instead, the designation allows the community to know which members have been helpful, have provided constructive advice and have set a positive example and tone for the Forums. Like any information posted on the Forums, the opinions and advice provided by these members are their own. This content is the sole responsibility of the Community Moderator or other valued member, and anything stated in these Forums Usage Guidelines applies the same to the content posted by these members.

Philips Employees

Philips employees are encouraged to participate in the Philips Forums but not under their Philips name and function. Philips employees are bound by Philips's Privacy and Security policies. Philips Employees may not ask you for any personal information via a post in a forum or via Private Message (PM). Philips Employees are not authorised to access customer accounts in any capacity or for any reason. A Philips employee's failure to comply with these Usage Guidelines will result in corrective action up to and including termination from this forum.


C. PRIVACY NOTICE

For your registration as a user of the Forum you don’t need to provide Philips with personally identifiable information. A username and email address, via which we can contact you, is sufficient for participation in the Forum.

However in the event, you do share personal identifiable we like to inform you that Philips strongly believes in protecting the privacy of the personally identifiable information you share with us. We also believe it is important to inform you about how we will use your personal data, and to give you choices about how those data will be used. D.CONTENT POLICY

You are responsible for making sure your Submissions do not infringe other people's intellectual property rights (Intellectual property rights means copyright, patent, registered design, design right, trade mark, trade secret), and that it is not abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, offensive, pornographic, illegal or unlawful information, etc,

In order to cooperate with and protect intellectual property right owners, we implemented the following notice take down system. In case you find information or content on the Forum, which you think is inappropriate or might infringe intellectual property rights of you or others, please notify us by sending an email to the address stated in Section E. In the contact form you should:

a) Indicate the allegedly infringing content
b) State who the owner of the copyrights holder is
c) State why the use of the content is not permitted
d) Provide your contact details so that we can contact you.

Philips will investigate the reported content whether, according to Philips, your claim is valid and the information/ content will be removed.
