I have a bdp3100 blue ray player but I am unable to watch the cars 2 dvd, the audio keeps breaking up and skipping, there are no firmware updates to solve this that I can see, any help is much appreciated!

1/ are you using the latest firmware,
2/ is your disc playing ok in PC

I will get more info after work but as far as I no I am using the latest, I have searched for updates using the network cable and there are no updates found. As for using a pc I am unable to try this.

went to play this blu ray today and had the same problem before it watched the toy story hawiian vacation with no problems then went to start the film and just keeps jumping audio cutting out and picture freezes

maybe specify the EAN so that they can check the disc?

From what I understand the number is 8717418327972, this is what I got from their internet as I took mine back, hope it can be sorted,also what is the latest upgrade number

check for the latest software on www.philips.com/support: as I can see for /12 devices there are 2 different releases depending on the serial number.
I don't know exctly the stroke version of the model you own so better if you can check it directly in the support pages.
I hope that you can solve your issue with the latest sw!

Iv still not been able to find a update using my WiFi, it must be using the latest firmware?

I have the same audio problems with new blu rays from Conan and Cowboys and Aliens. Strangely enough the Blu ray says there is no update, but if I check the number of the newest update there seem to be updates available.
Slow internet a possibility that my blu ray says there is no update or?????
Is it better to use USB stick?
Hopefully there's a solution, because this is irritating as hell ;)

which model you are using?
which fw you have now?
if the internet upgrading not works, maybe you can try download that to USB?
Aliens is a known disc that some others reported playability issue. but since they have so many versions, you can leave a EAN of the disc
