Still no fix for Alien Anthology (just tried it with this new FW)... I wonder what are those mysterious "Improved disc playability" fixes.

Sorry for bumping this thread, but I'd like to ask: Is there any plans to implement the reading of media files via the USB port? It is known that if upgraded with the BDP3000 firmware, the usb port becomes active on the BDP2500, given that they both share the same chipset. So what is keeping philips from implementing this feature??????

How about the bdp2500/98,when will be the next upgrade?

How is that known? Interesting point. These devices are getting out of scope due to the age so only urgent releases if needed will be done....

Hey There
I need help with this one. just downloaded the bdp3100_12_fus_aen.zip. However I cant update the blu-ray player. The philips chat people tell me I need to remove the "autorun UPG " file from the Upgrades folder, leaving it as a separate item on the USB stick.

However the file I download is call UPG_ALL and it does not appear to have an auto run in the folders just two files called BDP_3100_S_B.BIN and BDP3100M2.BIN

The Philips Chat people can not advise me on how to do this...anyone help

on BDPs there is no autorun.upg...

- Format USB stick with FAT
- copy the Folder UPG_ALL with the two bin files to the root of your USB stick
=> USB-Stick:\UPG_ALL\BDP_3100_S_B.bin
=> USB-Stick:\UPG_ALL\BDP_3100M2.bin
- insert stick
- start update from Setup menu
