Hello All,

I have buy a Philips Fidelio Soundring with airplay, i try to install so many way but it doesn't work. I try to use it with my
Iphone 4S but the sound stops after a few seconds...

I try to play on my computer with itunes and it works well..

Can you help me to use it with my iphone ? I don't know what to do !!

Thanks for notifying us of your issue.

We are aware of a playback issue with the iPhone 4S and AirPlay enabled speakers. We are currently looking into resolving this issue together with Apple. We will communicate immediately when a solution is available.

Hi. I am also experiencing this issue. It strikes me that if an iPhone 4s does not work with this device then you should make that clear on your web site so that anyone who buys it knows that they are wasting their time.

I bought this to stream airway and airplay alone and it won't connect for more than 10 seconds and then the whole thing locks up.

When are you going to fix this by? Is it an Apple issue or Philips?

I would like to add to this thread that this is a broader issue than iPhone4S (in fact I believe this has nothing to do with iPhone4S at all).

We have both iPhone 4, iPhone4S and iPad of various models. All running 5.x iOS and non of them are working properly with the Soundrings (we have 3 Soundring units).

This is not a wifi environment realted problem (have made several alternation to channels etc. ) We even tried to put the Soundring and an iPhone4 on a separate wifi net and this makes absolutely no difference. This product simply does not match (even come close) to the quality and robustness Apple users are accustomed to... The fact that this has been a problem since release (mid december) and not firmware update is out yet is a joke.. Our kids keep asking when they will be able to use their $300 speaker unit christmas gifts.. Could you perhaps shed some light on this?!

I bought the same system today and experience the same problems with my Iphone 4s. Is there any news regarding this issue or do I have to return it to the store?

all the airplay model has this FAQ: iPhone 4S is not working with the dock... will be some sound drop issue.

this issue happened to whatever electronics manufacturers...

Dear Philips, since you seem not able to get the problem with the Fidelio 3800 and AirPlay under control, can I return the device to Philips (I bought it a few months ago via the Philips online shop) ?

Dear Muccie,

This issue has been resolved by iOS5.1. Could you check?

Steps:
1) Upgrade your iPhone IOS to 5.1
2) Reset your iPhone by pressing home button and power button simutaneously until it is switched off
3) Restart your iPhone. Try Airplay again.

Let us know if this solves your issue.

Thank you for the good news ! Could you please have the misleading message on this in the German FAQ on this product-information website have removed then, because this states that there currently is NO solution for the problem with the iPhone 4s (for many months...).
