Hi,
I recently bought the following product
http://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=philips%20hd%20media%20player%20hmp3000&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CCkQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.p4c.philips.com%2Fcgi-bin%2Fdcbint%2Fcpindex.pl%3Fslg%3Den%26scy%3Dpl%26 ctn%3DHMP3000%2F12&ei=6YP5TvPmKYTPrQeitqm0BQ&usg=AFQjCNEqtjKqTJmqFSg6de7XS9xKKL9vvA&cad=rja
The product specification says
Audio
• Analog stereo output
• Signal to noise ratio (1 kHz): > 90 dB (A-weighted)
• Dynamic Range (1 kHz): > 80 dB (A-weighted)
• Frequency response: +/-0.2 dB
• Digital output: Optical
I want to buy 5.1 ch speakers and want to connect to Digital output: Optical. Please suggest which cable I will need. i.e. what name for cable should I refer
Also media player supports
Dolby Digital Passthrough Yes
Dolby Digital Plus Passthrough Yes
Dolby TrueHD Passthrough Yes
DTS Passthrough Yes
DTS-HD HR Passthrough Yes
Which 5.1ch speaker set should I buy with Digital input: Optical which decodes the audio as media player only passthrough the audio.
