View Full Version : Unable to upgrade 32PFL8605H/12 television (NetTV not working)

My tv is currently running the softwareversion: Q5551_0.140.25.0

NetTV has stopped working. When I try to access NetTV it switches to a screen that says that it is registering. After a while it says it was unable to connect to the philips server and that I should try again later.

I chatted with customer support and they suggested that I upgraded the firmware.

So I downloaded the current latest version (Version: 000.140.046.000) and tried to install it from my USB key.

When I try to install it it say loading, verifying and then tells me that the softwareupdate can not be completed. Then I have to restart the tv to be able to use it again.

Hi,

shut down your TV completely (main power switch). Also try the Clear method:

- TV-mode: 123654
- press red button
- press CLEAR (number keys)
- shut down TV
- main power switch
- restart

Then try to install again.

After the "CLEAR and restart" procedure Alex described, I would first try if NetTV is working again! Maybe a new firmware isn't necessary after all... ;)

Pressing CLEAR does that mean 25327?

When I press the red button and CLEAR I don't see any response on the screen.

Hi,

yes - there is no response on the TV. Just shut down the TV after that procedure and follow the other instructions mentioned above...
