Missing Menus 42PFL5403/93

I have recently moved to Beijing. The rental house we're in has a TV that is causing me 2 issues....

Firstly the menu's are all in Chinese - which I cannot read. I tried to follow the instructions on Philips website which says...pick the 5th menu option.....and here lies my 2nd problem....there are only 4 menu options.

Could this be a parental lock issue? I can find the Parental Lock Menu based on the four boxes where you can input a code, but as it's not my TV I have no idea what the code is.

have you tried to download the the online manual of the 5403 model?

In my opinion you could solve your issue. The parental control could be a possibility.

Another possibility could be that your TV is set as "hotel mode" where all the settings cannot be modified if you don't know the password.
