Hello,

I am aware of the codec support of the Philips devices (see XLS file on this forum), but I am interested in some info that cannot be readily found in that sheet, or in the online product manuals. Who owns an HTS9221 or HTS9241 and can tell me his experiences with streaming movies to this home theatre set?

I currently own a Philips TV and I know that streaming to the TV has its limitations:

No support for DVD menus when playing VIDEO_TS folders. Only support for .VOB files
No support of subtitle streaming (not external like .srt files, but also not subtitles included in an .mkv container).

Is the support for streaming files to an HTS9221 the same as for televisions? Or can I expect a little bit more from that. There is something mentioned in the manual for divx files. But that only refers to divx files on usb, disc or bought online through the NetTv app. Nothing is mentioned for subtitle support of other formats.

Dear Northguy,

good points, I've got a HTS too but I've never searched for them.

These infos are maybe accessible only by the Philips Mods.

Let's wait for their reply.
