hi,

the mute screen is an energy saving option, that allows listening to the TV channel or radio channel with the display turned off. when activated, it informs the user that pressing any button on the REMOTE will result in leaving the mute screen.

the bug: pressing a button on the display panel leaves mute screen too, so there is no way to e.g. change the volume without leaving the mute screen

for your info, the samsung TVs implement this feature properly: volume control does not leave the mute screen, either from remote or display panel buttons!

regards,
Mike

PS: fw is latest 2.18

Hi

Mute screen means Mute screen, like on a PC any interaction with the TV will end up in leaving the Screen.
Thats normal behavior.

Thomas

normal behavior...a feature not a bug....

so the TV message is about remote buttons to stop the mute screen....but not about the panel buttons which do the same....this is not a bug, but a feature :)

and the fact that other TV manufacturers implement this option properly....

what is the point in the Philips implementation then ? just to save energy?
