tv cannot play lossless WMA?

Hello,

My 52PFL9606H/12 tv seems not to be able to play lossless WMA files (on an external harddisk connected to a USB port of the tv). I've tried several without success.

Is this normal? Can it be fixed with a firmware upgrade?

I don't want to lose any quality so downsampling my audio library is a no go.

lossless WMA is not supported and this can not be added via an update.

My only suggestion is to install a DNLA media server on your PC and it will transcode the files so they are playable on your TV. If you are concerned about the transcoding downsampling your files, then perhaps talk to the media server developers and they may be able to create a custom device profile that maintains your files' quality. I have asked the Mezzmo developers in the past and they have tweaked my device profile for me. Works great. Might be worth a try.
