View Full Version : MCD712/12 Pause function not working on MP3 files
Hello!
I have a problem with Micro Theather.
When playing other than the first mp3 file and I want to pause it the button "Pause" does not work correctly.
Instead of pausing the file it starts to play the first one.
Is there any solution to this error? Or should I just should I call the service?
Regards

Just to make sure you are pressing the button 8, instead of button 9 right?
For the button 9, it may means to start all over again.
If you correctly press button 8 and it starts from the first track, it does not sound right.
Do you have this issue since day 1, or you have this issue after a period of use?
if it's the latter, i recommend to go service as this sounds like a HW issue.
Thank you kwinnie for your answer!
Yes, I press the button 8.
The problem appears only when listening mp3 files. When I listen audio CD it works OK.
I have found that "Pause/Play" function during playing the FIRST mp3 file works like it should.
What's more - when playing file number N, and first I press the button Down to be on position N then "Pause/Play" works. Unfortunately it is not mentioned in the manual.
In the case of audio CD - it works exactly like in the manual.
It seems that it is not a HW issue but rather SW or firmware.
So, looks like this stupid behaviour is a feature not a bug? Or maybe there is a way to upgrade the fimware of this Micro Theather?
Anybody from Philips on this forum? ;-)
