I bought my 40PFL8864 in 2009, I would like to use Simplyshare but need the activation code for my TV.

Can you send me one?

Kind regard,

Jerry

Hi Jerry,

Simplyshare app is not for TVs. For TV you have the MyRemote app. For TVs of 2010 onwards it will show the Simplyshare tab inside for older TVs (e.g. yours) it won't as they are only DMP certified, not DMR.

Kind regards,

Unfortunately my tv is not visible in MyRemote?
It keeps on looking for a playback device
I have setup my tv with JointSpace.

Any ideas?

Hi,

did you installed firmware 26.78? Did you see the "jointSpace enabled" logo? Is your MyRemote device in the same subnet as your TV?

Hi,

you have a 2009 TV. These 2009 TVs only support DLNA 1.0 (where 2010 and later support DLNA 1.5). So, you don't have all the functionalities...

so no use for this app then or is an update to dlna 1.5 possible.
Strange that a expensive tv which is 2 years old can not be used!
Philips should al least support playback
