Hello. I'm interested in purchasing this (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16889104191) TV and I was wondering if it's possible to stream videos from a Windows network share. Whether it's possible to mount the network share (for me, an example of a network share directory I would mount in Windows would be: \\WINDOWS-SERVER\movies or \\WINDOWS-SERVER\tv) directly to the TV, or if the TV would have to connect to one of my computers, and view the contents of one of the mounted network shares, which on the computer is basically a network-attached hard drive, but it isn't exactly a hard drive. It shows up in "My Computer" as a hard drive (I have \\WINDOWS-SERVER\movies mounted as Z:\). Sorry if that was confusing. Basically, I'd like to be able to stream videos from a computer without any additional software or modifying my configuration (if possible). If additional software is needed, will it cause changes in my current network setup.

Another thing I want to know, can a program like XBMC run on the TV?

Thanks.

Edit: I saw a crappy review for this TV on Best Buy. Has anybody ever owned it and what do you think of it? The only reason I'm buying a new TV is because I bought a crappy Coby TV that died on me after 6 months and would cost me $100+ in shipping to have it fixed, and then to possibly just break again in another 6 months. I need a TV that's going to last me for a few years.

XBMC works on Philips TV, but I guess that depends on the model you want to buy. Better clear that one with Philips team. http://imagicon.info/cat/12-19/vbsmile.png
