View Full Version : Firmware bug in 7.56s urgent fix required

Hi

i have just purchased a new mci8080 and the unit is excellent and all functions worked fine until firmware download
of 7.56S

now there is a firnmware bug

select internet radio and play a station no problems

then select either AUX or cd and there is NO SOUND !!!!

you can only get sound back by a reboot or playinga song from USB Hard drive first

this is not acceptable can an urgent firmware fix be issued please as i dont want to return the item for a refund?

my MCI900 has no issues at this level

you observe this issue right after the upgrade?
because i suspect this can be some sort of hardware failure.

Hi Thanks for the reply

im convinced its a firmware issue as all features worked fine before i let the software upgrade

i returned a unit earlier this year with same issue after firmware update and would have hoped a new firmware would have been released by now to resolve this. last release was November last year

Philips - any update . please

pls try to adjust the volume in the aux in and cd mode.
if this doesnt work, suggest you to go to service to have a check.

Hi there is a faint sound and it only corrects upon selecting usb first or a reboot of the unit

all functions were ok prior to new firmware so that is the suspect

this is the 2nd unit i have tried

PHILIPS - can you escalate this to the firmware guys please and update?
