where is the new Net TV surface as promised at the IFA 2010? It was announced to be available in October 2010. We have now November! Where is the videostore in Germany, as promised at the IFA 2010?

I bought a product and it does not contain the features as promised in the advertisements! So, please give us a date or better the promised features!

First we need to make all TV's compatible with the new Net TV portal. Therefore we will distribute new software via automatic upgrade to all TV’s. Sorry, but it will take still several weeks before this software is fully tested and ready for release.

After software release we will announce the new portal on Net TV, perhaps even offer you a preview.
As soon as the majority of the TV’s have accepted the new software we can go life.
Your patience will be rewarded.

Unfortunately, this is very sobering.
On the Philips Webside there is no indication that the new Net-TV interface is not yet available.
Many customers - including me - bought the TV also because of the advertised features. I was not aware that much of it is not realized. Also my dealer said this would be available.
Please give us a reliable Release-date. "Several weeks" could also mean that it did not come this year.

So it is true that ALL Nettv Models will need a Software Upgrade before the new Nettv user interface will work? Does this apply to my 8404H Running As well? I am keeping pestering the Philips Chat Folks and they denied that an Upgrade would Be necessary. The regulär reply was: wait and see.

I am really eager to have access to the "Mediathek" of ARD and ZDF via Nettv: will they be made available to me thru my 2009 8k Series Model as well As the Red Button Function (aka Hbbtv)?
At least the ZDF Mediathek is working great via direct Link Access.

Will there be an update for 2009 models like 9604, 9664, 9704, 9904, 9954 and 8404 with the current firmware version of (those already supports jointSPACE (http://jointspace.sourceforge.net/))?

Other side of the coin
If there won't be an Net TV 2.5 update for 2009 models I will definately trust no more Philips being the most advanced and customer friendly television company.
In that option we could confirm that there is no sense and simplicity.

2010 models introduced new things like "Video store". That wasn't later supported with 2009 models and I think is was because of the new SD memory card slot (with secure digital copy protection support on hardware side). There currently are "video store" services for 2009 models on some countries that doesn't need/use memory card for smooth video playback.

I honestly believe that all the Net TV models should develop in time and the latest models would naturally include new functions to attract/serve customers.

- Is the new Net TV 2.5 the one that is shared with Sharp and Loewe?
- Will there ever be an upgrade to YouTube service as the videos doesn't have the right aspect ratios (stretched videos)?

I'm currently the owner of:
Philips 46PFL9704H/12 (Net TV model / Linux GUI)
Philips 47PFL8404H/12 (Net TV model / Linux GUI)
Philips 42PFL9703H/10
Philips 32PFL3403D/12
Philips 42PF9731D/10

Please read this (http://www.supportforum.philips.com/showthread.php?763-New-Net-TV-design-(portal-2.5)...). As you can see, the new UI will be released soon and is also applicable for 2009 models.

As soon as it is available, report your findings on the new Net TV portal here (http://www.supportforum.philips.com/showthread.php?761-Experiences-with-new-Net-TV-User-Interface-(portal-2.5).). We are very interested in your experiences!
