I bought Philips BDP3200/05 from amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-BDP3200-05-Blu-Ray-Player/dp/B004ING3KQ/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top
Basically pretty nice player but there have came a big problem.
This player arrived about week ago to me, and it worked almost fine. Right from beginning it seemed like playing blu-rays was bit random, that sometimes it worked fine, and sometimes it reacted like there had been scratches on discs, but i thought it was either lousy quality or blu rays being very picky. But now i guess there might have been some other problem on it.
For now, week later, it refuses to play any Blu-ray discs anymore. When i put them inside, it tries to load them, and after a while it just keeps telling "unknown disc".
DVDs however do play wihtout any problem. That the problem is with Blu-ray discs only.
My blu-ray colelction is very small. Only CSI Miami season 6, Lost season 6 and Disneys Snow White and seven dwarfs.
I have watched one episode from disc on of CSI 6, and i checked the snow white that it worked when the player first arrived, and from lost i had checked discs 1 and 2, and was in middle of third disc. However, now none of them work but keep giving me the "Unknown disc" when trying them.
I have trid to take power off, and resetting the factory settings. I also waited over night in case it had been heat problem or something, but that didnt work either.
Is there still something i can do or do i have to return this to Amazon? For i would rather get it fixed than start replacing process with amazon as I would be without a player until replacement arrives.
And is it possible that this is a software problem? For it seems like it reads the disc and just comes to conclusion that it isnt in supported format.
I have updated to the latest firmware, and have also watched blu-ray (lost 6th season) after that.
