Cannot connect to an NTFS based network

To my great astonishment I saw that the BDP 3380 does not support NTFS. My whole network is NTFS based, do I rightly understand that this means that the 'Browse PC' option is useless for me?

Well DLNA protocol is not based on the file system…so should work without issues
