View Full Version : Will Apple TV ever be supported by DS9800W

Fidelio Soundspeaker DS9800W work great with my Ipad (IOS6) and Macbookpro.

But will the speaker ever support Apple TV? Since the latest software update (5.1), Apple TV is airplay sender and receiver.
With airplay Apple TV can stream the audio to wireless speakers. That's great, because I don't need wired speakers anymore.
Actually it doesn't work with DS9800W. Apple TV recognizes the DS9800W speakers and when you select them it connects to the speakers, but there's no audio.

It would be great to know if Philips intends to support Apple TV in the future by a software update for the DS9800W speakers or not.

I found the cause of the problem. Apple tv does not allow to stream the audio of movies to wireless speakers. See https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4349965?start=0&tstart=0
Streaming radio to the speakers works :-). So everything is fine with the ds9800w speakers. I just bought them recently and I love them :-)
