Just bought an AS111 and using it with a Sony Xperia Neo V. Have downloaded Dockstudio and have used it as an alarm succesfully, after initial problems with having to have the media volume turned up on the phone and getting the screen lock to work rather than having the screen constantly on and shining in my face through the night.

The manual is great for docking the phone but doesn't give any recommended procedure for undocking.

My problem is, that when the phone is docked, the screen timeout and lock work fine, but when I undock the phone, the screen lock and screen timeouts no longer work, despite them being turned on and a delay being turned to 15 secs in the phone. I've tried exiting Dockstudio, clearing the cache even force stopping it but nothing works. The display is a big drain on the phone battery so I like to keep the screen timeout and lock on. The only way I can get it to work again is by restarting the phone, which I don't want to have to do every day. Am I missing a setting somewhere? If I am, please let me know where it is as I've been through the whole menu set on my phone.

I'm running Android V.2.3.4

Thanks

Is this not more a problem of your phone then of the dock or app?

Nope. I don't believe it is the phone and if it is it's the dock (or more likely Dockstudio app) that is triggering it. I've had no problems of this type before using tje dock. Fact remains that screen lock and time out work before docking, and whilst docked (as long as the relevant setting is on in dockstudio), but doesn't when undocked. I suspect dockstudio is over riding the setting.

Have not seen this behaviour with samsung. Did you reinstall the dockstudio app?

Not sure what the reference to Samsung is about....:-/ Edit - D'oh - you mean Samsung is Ok. Sorry. But yes I have reinstalled several times now. I have found a workaround though. I press the power button on the phone to manually lock the screen. After that it seems ok. But it's not ideal - I expect my settings to go back to pre-dock settings without having to faff about.

Mind you, it's worth it to be able to get a dock that's not exclusively dedicated to bleedin' iPods! :-D

Recently purchased AS111 for use with Samsung S3. Having the same problem- after undocking from AS111, phone will no longer perform auto screen lock. Have to power down the phone and bring back up to fix the problem- extremely annoying. Any suggestions on how to get around this?
