Hi, the image quality on this TV is excellent when adjusted correctly.

However image quality in the predefined settings such as "Movie" is not good at all, text seems to be surrounded by compression artifacts, rapid movement looks distorted.

There are so many settings with so many variables that there are hundreds if not thousands of different ways to combine all the Precice Pixel settings.

Please make it easier to find the "good" settings, and perhaps remove/grey out combinations that will have negative impact on the picture.
For a tv owner who is new to all the philips settings such as clear lcd/HDNM and similar it can be confusing, please provide a looping demo to make it easier to see which feature does what, and how it affects the image.

But even just making the predefined "Movie" picture mode suitable for watching movies would go a long way :)

Its an excellent TV, I only wish it would be more user friendly when it comes to adjusting picture quality :)

I use the standard picture setting, works fine. The worst setting I found was not the energy saver but the "movie" setting, there is what looks like jpeg compression artefacts around text and subtitles and random distortions around the image.
Seems to me like the image "improvement" technologies are very situational, sometimes they may improve the pictures and other times it just makes a mess.

I also managed to reduce input latency from my computer, I was playing around with settings and decreasing resolution made a huge impact. Try 1680x1050 instead of 1920x1080, works much better :)

I can add that I was very satisfied with my tv set until yesterday, updating to the latest firmware broke my TV.
the TV no longer accepts any hdmi signal from my playstation 3, and it only accept video signals by hdmi from my computer - it no longer accepts audio.

My speakers are connected to the TV through a dac and optical cable, however I cant use the speakers now since the hdmi inputs on the TV is not working.

Obviously a defective unit, and now I regret buying it online since I cant just go into a local store and grab a new set with me.
