Hi
I'm having problems upgrading software using the USB method.
I tried to upgrade my 47PFL8404H firmware to the latest Version 000.026.078.000 from 000.026.076.000.

First step is OK - USB into side of TV to collect tv details.

On the PC, located the update.htm file on the USB stick and ran it. Instantly gave me pages of the same message, which was the 'Download' button then 'Document not available' repeated for a full page. Is this a fault?

I let that run 5 minutes or more, then hit the 'Download' button anyway. I got a .zip file called 42pfl8404h_12_fus_eng.zip

I extracted that zip and got a single file called autorun.upg

That doesn't run, it asks me for a program to run it. There's nothing been added back to the USB . Is this going right? or is it wrong?

What's my next step....

TIA

Here you go... http://www.google.com (http://www.google.com/search?q=autorun.upg%20filetype:pdf%20site:philips .com)

The 1st or 2nd search result should suit your needs.

Hope this helps

Thanks Toengel and Mario,

With your help I've successfully upgraded.
The user guide for the 37pf9431d is much better than my 8404!

Greetings,
42PFL8404H now with 000.026.078.000
