40PFL9606K MPEG-4 AVC level playback limitation

Hello,

as in user manual my TV does not support playback for MPEG-4 AVC higher than level 4.0.

Unfortunately, more and more files comes in level 4.1

Is this hardware limitation, or we can expect a software upgrade, witch allows playback of files with higher level of AVC?

Hi,

there won't come an update for higher levels... so you will have two options: recode your files or buy a media player.

Interesting why? new model is capable to play level 4.1... and 9XXX models are too expensive to purchase TV every 6 months... (In Lithuania 40pfl9606 model showed only at end of this summer)
