Hi, I'm using the PTA01 adapter on my 37PFL4007 TV. I've run into several problems:

1. Whether through a wired or wireless connection, my TV won't recognize any .mkv files on my media server--though the support on the TV says .mkv files are supported.

2. My PTA01 adapter regularly cuts out mid-streaming--sometimes after as little as two minutes. Sometimes it only disconnects briefly, while other times the adapter's green light stays off and I have to manually have to remove and reconnect the adapter before it'll work--'wireless' won't even be an option when I try to connect my TV to the internet.

3. Several times it's been unable to find my media server(s) until I completely reboot the TV. I'll have already restarted the media servers on my laptop, so the problem is definitely on the television's/adapter's end.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated, because all this is making streaming a very frustrating experience.

These problems only seem to be getting worse. I was streaming an episode earlier tonight. After 5-10 minutes, the screen froze and I had to mess around with disconnecting and reconnecting the adapter, rebooting the TV, going through the adapter activation process again, et cetera et cetera. Either the TV won't recognize the adapter, or it won't see any servers, or it'll see the server but not the files, or it'll randomly leave the network space and and switch to HDMI input instead... Almost an hour has passed now of non-stop fiddling and I still haven't been able to get the episode to play again.

I never had this problem when the TV was connected through an ethernet cable, so the problem is not on the router or computer's end. It's got to be purely the adapter. I want to send it back to the store but I'm seeing other people running into similar problems, and I don't want to waste any more time or money than I already have. I'm getting very, very frustrated. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi CSD,

Sorry to hear about the issues you're currently having, I would recommend you to check if your PC is detecting your TV as a DLNA device, you should be able to change the settings in your server.

If the issue persists please contact your local customer service.

Regarding the .mvk files could you please check if the files are supported here 1570 or for further information on the instruction manual here (http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/3/37pfl4007t_12/37pfl4007t_12_dfu_eng.pdf)on page 60.

Regards,
Marco
