I bougth recently the home cin set and also bought the Ipod dock to it. It works nice with good sound on the radio and DVD and MP3 on USB in.

When going to the Ipod dock with my iphone4S it works super. Now the problem: I own a Ipod classic 80Gb also. And when placing this one in the Ipod dock I can see the Ipod is seen by the system. I can play music but I hear.... nothing.

When using the Ipod on my car stereo it work fine using the same bottem connector.

Why is this not working. I tought mabe the Ipod is to old ( its the first Ipod series) and used a Iphone 3G also an old one. That worked fine to.

Is this an Apple software problem? Or a docking problem. Connector on the Ipod is OK because it works on my car stereo.

Anyone with a hint please reply.

do you still have the packaging box with you? it should be stated there the iDevices that your Home Theater System supports.
my guess is same to yours. it may be too old and it's out of the supporting scope.
