Another idea for Ambilight.

I have another idea for the lights, not so expensive like one with external lamps.
The lamp can work together not only with image, but with sound too.
This is a old thing. :)
The implementation consists of new ambilight software only. I think that the new mode can be called "Ambisound" for example. :)
The lamps can blink not only in respect to sound and image, the blinking can be combined from both this things.
And in addition of external lamps users can make own dance party... :)

For this idea you, PHILIPS, will promise me that your developers write new software for old 2009 TV because i have such model.

PS. I know that ambilight software colud be difficult to update because it resides on dedicated MCU which possible is not designed for updating by user. But i'm a hardware developer and for me this is not a big problem, i only want new good soft and some support about burning it into MCU (i don't want to spending time in reverse engineering). :)
PPS. What about main software development for 2009 TVs (9000 series)? It is stopped?

ambisound... sounds good ;)

Maybe the customer can select an ambisound profile
if he is watching movie or classic or rock concerts... and linked philips radio lamps
(as living colors) actuate more behaviors.
if philips will give more freedom to customers with a simplified and a more technical menu
should be great and fit situation as television in public room (swimming pool, pub,... ):cool:

I think, PHILIPS should also allow in new models to control the lights via jointspace.
Curently this is not possible as i can see because of implementation of lights in dedicated controller which cannot be programmed by user.
I think this controller should be integrated into main chassis.
Users can then write own plugins (or use already written) for example in Windows media player... :)

you made things too complex.
I already control my living colors lamps with one radio remote controller.

The first step:
- philips should develop a radio interface to connect to usb port of my/our televisions
- upgrade firmware of my/our televisions to recognize and manage the usb-radio and pilot the living lamps linked

if this feature is well accepted to customers
-philips should start to develop ambisound and advance feature

I hope that philips recognized me and you as co-inventors in the following patents.. :-)

Why they must do several steps? Why they can't do new soft immediately?
My proposition is not expensive because of lacking of these steps.
PHILIPS! Give us Ambisound right now!

In newer models provide us with programmability and connector for external disco equipment!
And make a way to enjoy ambisound also in older TVs.
I personally don't want to be mentioned in any patents. I only want good TV. ;)

In addition i advise to add visualisations for music like in windows media player etc.

Then user can select the modes:
1. Lights are blinking according to picture (traditional Ambilight)
2. Lights are blinking according to sound only (new term "Ambisound", introduced by me :) )
3. Lights are blinking according to combined sound+picture (for example concert show) - i can continue with trems and introduce "Ambishow" here :)
4. Lights are blinking to sound only but some visualisations are added on main screen (for example on disco party) - of course - "Ambiparty" :)
5. Inverse Ambiparty mode. Lights are blinking according to visualisations of music
7. All of above with external lamps added - here i will not introduce new term because of matteos copyright (http://www.supportforum.philips.com/showthread.php?986-New-idea-for-Philips-Match-Ambilight-Living-Colours).
