A 10 day old 40PFL8007 refuses to start after beeing switched off with the main button on the TV.
When restarting a green screen (somtimes blue) with Phillips showes for about 20 seconds. Thereafter the TV screen goes to black and the Tv turnes itself off off after som 3-5 secunds more. The red lamp on the TV does not light up. I tried to take out the power for some minutes, but this does not help.

The TV is connected to a digital TV box with HDMI cable and also a analoge antenna cable, The TV was in normal TV mode when it was switched off.

So far I have not configured the Smart TV, Internet is not connected

Any advise?

Hi PerB,

Sorry to see you're having problems with your brand new television :(

Does this occur even after you have turned it off at the mains power and tired rebooting?

Is the problem still happening?

Best, Rafe

Hi,

I suggest to install the latest firmware 150.82 manually by USB stick... and then try again...

After letting the TV rest for som houers, it suddenly started normally.

Then after setting up the Smart TV (connecting to internet) I was asked to update the firmware and since then it has behaved, but I have not daret to switch the TV completely off.

I will try to switch it completely off and see if its fixed for good, but it was quit anoying in the middle of the holidays.
