Hello everyone,

In 2012, when I still had warranty on my Philips TV I contacted Philips with a problem that I have with my TV.
I have been turned down with a standard answer.

Now it really starts to annoy me and my TV is just out of warranty, I hope anyone here can help me.

Whenever I have my TV connected to a laptop/PC (either Nvidia, AMD or Intel graphics) with HDMI, my TV switches completely off after ~30-60 min. Sometimes after turning it back on the TV hangs completely, then I need to disconnect the power cord and connect it back. I have this problem since I have this TV and I already tried newer firmware I got v 2.09 in it now.

Does anyone have a solution?

Thanks in advance.
Christopher

Hi all, a relative of mine has the above model tv and recently we have attempted to plug a dvd player and a xbox 360 into it, both connected via seperate HDMI cables. So far we have no sound but a nice crisp picture! I see others having CODEC issues with sound, but what's with putting 4 HDMI's on a tv and not being able to use them!!
Any help at all would be great, a solution would be even better.
I phoned philips about software but they claim there is not any for this model. However when ive looked ive found it and installed it via usb storage device and still no difference!
Current software version is Q522E-0.64.79.0
Generation date is 12/22/2009 11:01:10 am:p

Hello to everyone, I wondered if can be dangerous for the hardware (tv and pc/bluray/console) doing the hot plugging in case of hdmi connection.

In other words is it possible creating damages just connecting or disconnecting the hdmi port when the devices are on or in stand-by mode?

Wikipedia says that hdmi standard has been designed originally for the hot plugging procedure (exactly like the usb port), but some forums advise agaist doing this saying that the port can get burned because of the static electricity.

Could someone solve this doubt, please?

P.s.: sorry for the english, I'm italian ;) .

Hi guys,

I've got a problem with my tv and usb sticks.

When i watch a movie from my usb i sometimes cant fast forward or rewind.

Normally, when i can FF or Rewind i see a status gauge with an gray indication how far i can FF to.

The problem now is, when i want to rewind or FF, the gray indication in the status gauge is at it max while the movie isnt!

Example:

When i watch a movie of 90 minutes, and if a want to FF it, then i only can do it sometimes to like 30 minutes. My status gauge is then maxed out for some reason.

Do anyone know an solution to this?

I have a philips 42 pfl 7606 H smart Tv with already the latest software upgrade.

Hi guys,

I tried to connect my computer to my philips TV using a VGA => HDMI cable. Won't work. Nothing. "No input signal".

Using a VGA cable to connect to VGA IN gives me "Video not supported" on EXT4. I reduced the resolution to 800x600 and 256 colors, still wont work.

The cable and Laptop work fine with my other monitor, so that cant be the reason.
I am using a Philips 32HF7875/10 which used to be a Hotel TV, so I cannot access any menu. But since it changed from "no input signal" to "video not supported", I assume that the menu is open for VGA. What am I doing wrong?

thank you so much for your help!
