When trying to use the remote to sign in to Netflix I cannot seem to generate a letter. The number buttons only generate numbers, the playback buttons generate text ("FF", "FR", "Stop", etc.) The buttons indicate that they can generate letters, not unlike a telephone keypad, but I cannot get them to display no matter what I try.

Another post in the Smart TV forum mentioned that there is a way to raise a virtual on-screen keyboard on the Netflix sign-in screen. I have combed the manual and have found no mention of how do this. Could someone help? Thanks!

BDP3300 - Connectivity to TV and HT Question

Hi, I want to connect the *BDP3300 blu-ray player* to my *TV through HDMI (for video playback only)* and get the *audio* through my *Home Theater...

Hi, I want to connect the BDP3300 blu-ray player to my TV through HDMI (for video playback only) and get the audio through my Home Theater System connecting the blu-ray player to HT System via Composite audio cables (red - white).

My home theater system doesn't have a HDMI IN, so I am limited to the aux in or digital optical in modes on it. My TV has an HDMI IN. I have tested out both the TV and Home Theater System with HDMI IN and Aux IN capability at the same time by connecting them to my PC. (PC connected to TV via HDMI and audio given to HT System via component audio cable).

My question is can the BDP3300 replace my pc to do the same job as I've mentioned above. (In other words can it give video output to TV via HDMI and audio output to my HT system via Component Audio cables at the same time)

Thank You.

I have a BDP3380 player and I've had some issues with subtitles going out of sync in the end/second half of movies. I've tested on my computer, where the files worked as intended so the problem isn't that the timings in the files are off. I searched for similar issues and found this post:
http://www.supportforum.philips.com/...es-out-of-sync

The problem described there seems identical to mine. I've updated to the latest software (2.66) but the problem is still there. Is there any update on the possible solution mentioned in that thread?
