I'm having trouble navigating the HMP2000 interface. Right after setting this up for my dad, he somehow accidentally got to a screen where he could access Facebook and Picasa when he set down the remote one time while in the Youtube search screen. Now I can't figure out how to get back to that. I've tried going to the web services section of the home screen, but the only things listed there are Netflix, Youtube, and Vudu. I've sifted through setup menus and everything else that I can think of, but can't find it. The Option, Info, and Edit buttons on the remote do nothing either, no matter what screen I'm in. The user manual makes no mention of Facebook or Picasa and neither does the box. What's up with this secret option that can only be accessed by magic?
Hi press the home key and go to online services, its there
I said in the first post that the only things in the web services section are Netflix, Youtube, and Vudu. The others that I'm looking for aren't there. I did find a way to get to them via a bug. When I first turn on the unit, if I select YouTube it will say it couldn't establish a network connection. If I then select "retry" on that error screen, instead of opening YouTube, it will go to a screen that only has icons for Facebook, AccuWeather, and Picasa. That screen has nothing else at all, not even the three section icons at the bottom (for web services, usb, and settings) that I normally see on the home screen. Once I've left that screen, there's no way to get back to it without turning the unit off and on again because after accessing it the first time through this apparent bug, selecting YouTube actually opens YouTube.
How can I fix this buggy interface?
