Philips 3800 series

Firstly, I'm sorry for my bad english, but isn't my first language.

Yesterday I bought a Philips 3800 series Full HD. I wanted to connect my laptop (Acer Aspire 5742ZG- ati mobility radeon hd 5470) with a hdmi cable and I've this problem:
- even if the resolution is 1920x1080, the wallpaper (a image by 1600x1071) show small (photo) and the icons' clarity isn't HD even if the color is at 32 bit

I put the image (by 1600x1071) on a stick and when I put it on TV look wonderful-HD and bigger .

With my laptop and the same cable connect at a Full HD TV and I was pleased by quality of image, was HD.
