Intresting andrea I got different signal-levels on the multchannel mix depending if I set HDMI 1 as auto or bitstream. ( not connected) The sound is in all 4 speakers on both settings.
Can you confirm ? ( connected to the 7.1 analog)
My sacd has 4.0, 2.0 and cd layer but I cant get my surround speakers to "shut -up" :-)
toengel> i use the stereo part of the 7.1, for this use i've turned off the other 6 channel from the menu in audio settings.
stormen> for hdmi1 i have volume off, but the connectione with tv is to hdmi1 (so no sound come from tv, i have to use the ampli alwais if i want to listen someting), so the hdmi avr is never use, it has nothing attacched. Aniway from settings i have bitstream from hdmi avr (i think this is used to send dsd signal to the dac)
so your BDP will downsample the multichannel to 2.0... and your BDP is still playing the 5.0 track of the SACD...
Just make a small test: enable all speakers on 7.1 and connect your Front Left and Front Right to Rear Left and Rear Right... you will hear something - even if SACD Stereo is selected...
