crashes every time

This app crashes every time I start it. It searches for the TV and after a few seconds it just crashes.

Tried reinstalling multiple times, rebooted the phone between installations but it doesn't work.
There seems to be something odd with this app. I tried a experimental development remote application and that one works but it has no keyboard functionality so it is same as a normal remote.
