TV switches off and on automatically

Hi,

I own a Philips 46PFL9705H/12 and it always switches off and on again automatically (you can hear a click when turning off).
This happens 2-3 times every evening. There isn't a specific moment when it happens. It can be immediately after you turn it on but also after a few hours.

Anyone who has / had the same problem before ?

Hi,

this is not normal - do you have installed the latest firmware update from the support web site? If not, you should call local Philips support...

I have a Philips 46PFL9705H/12 too. For what its worth I haven't had this issue.

Hi, i recently buyed the Philips 46PFL9704H/12 and have that symptom, randomly turn off at it self and turn on at it self, and this happen with a different turnig of noise.

I bring the TV to Assistence for 15 days, they install again the same firmware what i have istalled and change samething about hardware? .... BUT NOTHING CHANGE, the TV have the same problem in particular when i zapping.

I recive a SMS directly from Philips they say "... sorry we working around..

... i'm very unappy with it. I asking for a replacement after 2 weeks of live of this TV, but they didn't do.

I had a similar problem with my former 46pfl9705, but my TV did not switch on again, it stayed in standby. And it happend about one time every 1 to 3 days.

It was sent to service. They were able to re-create the problem, but did not figure out what was wrong. After six weeks I got a replacement. It was about one week ago. The three last days the new TV has gone in standby two times by itself. The same problem as before.

The FW on my new TV is 0.140.32.0, installed by me a few days ago, the same FW that was installed on my former TV when the problem started.

When i buyed the TV the problem was a ramdomly turning off at it self 2 or 3 time a week.
After the "repair" from Philips assistence the problem is now every day, and now the TV shut down and turn on at it self.

I buyed a 2009/2010 model as new one month ago,
15 days was the time spends to Philips assistence;

The model buyed maybe is the best top level model of Philips and nobady who i know have a similar problem.

I think my TV have defect becouse the problem is randomly and now is worse after the "assistence".

Thanks, so it seems that I'm not the only one having this problem.
It's a shame they don't seem to find what's causing the problem (I've updated the FM but this didn't solve the problem).

According to my son the problem doesn't occur when watching analog TV, it's only when we watch digital TV so problem is probably related to that.

The problem afect my TV, ramdomly shut down, is from the begin when i buy it. This happen when choosing "scenea", or zapping from NetTV to Scenea or sometime ramdomly.
Many time happen whit a WDShare (8Tbyte) external HD WI-FI connection
(signal 85% good) whit a Fritzbox router.

Now i change the external HD with a new one but nothing change, if a see my movie or photo and then a go to setup a choose TV channel, the TV shut down at it self and i listen a noice from acoustic audio system

After the Philips technical assitance the TV shut down and turn ON at it self !
