as you can see also for other TVs, Philips does not spend money on Updates for TVs which are not sold anymore...
however, do you have any "special" problems ?
Hi,
but the Net TV problem was a special constellation between 2010 hardware and the integrated opera version...

I can not access anyway to NET TV since a few days with my 42PFL8404H/12 Q5481-0.26.78.0
I bought it 02-2010 with 2 years warranty....:o
I have exactly the same problem with my BDP5100/12 SW : 1.57 bought in 01/2011
No answer from NET TV support.....
I was promised earlier that there will be a software update for this model to resolve some issues:
- no aspect ratio setting if you watch movie from USB/network
- 4:3 missing from settings
- general slowness of the software
What I see now is Philips abandons old products, which is very sad. In the mobile phone industry - where software is changing much faster - a 2 year old model usually gets its update, or support for the hacking community to create there own update.
