USB HDD - Using one partition to record and one for own files
Hello together,
for my new 37PFL7606K/02 i bought a 1 TB USB HDD. Because I have already some video files I could watch on TV, I parted the HDD in two 500 GB parts and put these files on the second partition. Now I connected the HDD to the TV and wanted to use the first partition to use the USB-recording. But the TV formatted the whole drive. Why doesn`t my idea work, what's wrong? Do I really need two drives?
Thank you for your help,
Bye, thomas
function planed for future releases?
Hi,
i've got the 47PFL7606 and tried to use two partitions as well.
due to the fact that the first usb-port is used by the wifi-adapter, there is only one usb-port left for the hard-disc.
i'am looking forward to use both (playback of mutimedia-files and usb-recording). is it planed to release a update with allowes to use a partitioned drive in the future?
Without this feature I CANNOT RECOMMEND the Philips products :-(
Regards,
Simon
