problem with new BDP 9600 fail to turn on

I have just bought my new philips BDP 9600 and the problem is that when i try to turn on the machine the front light flash for one or two minutes and after that the player turn off.
After i have to turn on again the player to work without a problem. I try to upgrade the firmware but the problem still exist.
Is this a hardware failure and do i have to find technical support?
I am very sad because i see that is a great player with amazing sound quality. Thanks for any support.

How do i solve it?

I have go to philips service here in greece and they say they have change almost everyhting in the player. Now is working fine :)
