Software Download
I have a Philips BDP3000/05 Bluray Player S/N SM1A0944011853.
I am trying to upgrade the software. The player is connected to my network
And is recognized , when I try to download the software I get the message there is a update please click next to continue ,I click next and I then get the message this could take several mins ( underneath this is a cancel button ) I have left it for a good time but nothing is downloading and the screen is frozen the cancel button does not work and I have to disconnect from the mains. Has anyone got any ideas.

do you hv a disc in during update?
can you still turn on the player now?
i actually would suggest using a USB for upgrade... this is a lot more secured.

No I do not have a disc in during update
Yes I can turn the player on
I have downloaded thnecessaryry software unzipped it to root directory of the usb stick, when I try this I get the message no files found.

Hi,
can you post how the extracted file structure is now on your USB stick?
Such as:
USBstick:\UPG_ALL\*.bin

This is how it appears on USB stick UPG_ALL

* System Software Version: 1142.
* System Software Version: 1015.3
* System Software Version: 1006.1
one more possibility is that...though sounds stupid... can you check if you are already having the v1042 firmware?
as i can see the latest firmware version in my region (Hong Kong) for model with /98 is v1015.3 still...
maybe you can advise:
what version of firmware are you using now? Home menu> settings> advanced> version info
